Singer-songwriter Norah Jones is one of the headliners for Pori Jazz 2012. She will perform with her band at the festival main stage Kirjurinluoto Arena on the last day of the festival, Sunday 22nd of July. This will be the first time for Norah Jones to perform in Finland.

Norah Jones is a talented combiner of jazz, soul, country and pop. Her best known hits include Come Away With Me, Don’t Know Why and Sunrise. Her albums have sold over 40 million copies around the world, and over 80 000 in Finland. She has been Grammy-awarded 9 times. Her new Blue Note album Little Broken Hearts will come out in May, produced by artist/producer Danger Mouse.

At the same concert will also be seen Robert Randolph & the Family Band and a new Finnish jazzy soul band The Northern Governors. Honey B. & The T-Bones with M.A. Numminen & Pedro Hietanen is celebrating their 30th anniversary in Pori.

There will be an extra train from Helsinki to Pori and back, scheduled according to the concert timetables. More to come later in the spring!

The ticket sales has started at the Ticketmaster Finland. Ticket price is 65 euros.

47th edition of Pori Jazz Festival will be held from 14th to 22nd July 2012. The rest of the program will be published and the ticket sales will start in the end of March – beginning of April.
