The 8th Annual Pori Jazz Kids Festival 2012 kicks off the Pori International Jazz Festival on Saturday, 14th of July. Everyone from grandparent to babies is invited!
Children of all ages can participate in singing workshops, building musical instruments from recycled materials and even learn to play Beatles songs on Ukulele. Finnish Pop&Rock hits are this years theme at Palmgren Conservatory´s Band & Vocal Workshops hosted by Ira Kaspi and Ape Anttila. Ira and Ape will also share the stage on Wednesday for Ira Kaspi Trio Concert on Lokki-lava Stage, performing Finnish Pop & Rock classics with a special twist of jazz. Free entrance for all events! |
This year offers a true Vintage Hit Parade, showcasing most beloved Finnish stars and songs through several generations. Performers for this year are for example Mikko Alatalo, Beatles- favorites playing Ukulele orchestra Cellophane Flowers’ Kids Ukulele Camp 2012, Ira Kaspi Trio and Satu Sopanen & Tuttiorkesteri performing children song hit cavalcades. There are also bands participating such as Rokki-Kokki, Kiertokihveli and Kengurumeininki.
