The 59th international Pori Jazz Festival attracted 47,000 music lovers to its ticketed concerts. The festival’s main concerts in the Kirjurinluoto Concert Park welcomed a total of 33,000 visitors over three days. Together with the extensive free admission programme, the festival’s total attendance reached 190,000.
The main concerts at Kirjurinluoto were held from 16 to 18 July. Attendance at the Thursday concert was 9,000, while 14,000 festivalgoers attended on Friday and 10,000 on Saturday. Other ticketed festival concerts attracted a total audience of 14,000.
This summer, Pori Jazz once again filled the city centre with music and festival spirit. Over nine days, from 10 to 18 July, the programme brought free live music to the Satakunta Stage on the Summer Pedestrian Street, Jazz Street on Eteläranta, the SATA Shipbuilding Stage, the Puuvilla shopping centre, Pori Theatre, and the Lokkilava stage.
On the opening day of Jazz Street, both museums located on Eteläranta offered free admission. During the Jazz Street event days, the Satakunta Museum screened documentary films about the history of the festival and hosted lectures on the origins of Pori Jazz. The programme also included the 20th edition of the family-oriented Pori Jazz Kids event, whose free activities and workshops attracted approximately 10,000 visitors.
Overall, the festival week was highly successful. Arrangements at the Kirjurinluoto main concert area ran smoothly, and audiences enjoyed performances across three stages. Although rainy weather on Saturday affected on-site ticket sales, the atmosphere remained excellent throughout the weekend.
The free programme played an especially important role this year, with its popularity continuing to grow. The expanded Jazz Street event area attracted large crowds and further strengthened its position as one of the festival’s key gathering places.

The free programme reached new audiences and brought the festival atmosphere into the heart of the city. The main concerts at Kirjurinluoto were also a success despite Saturday’s weather challenges. The artists delivered memorable performances, and the audience’s great spirit was evident throughout the weekend,” says Sampsa Jolma, Managing Director of Pori Jazz.
Next summer, Pori Jazz will celebrate its 60th anniversary. The anniversary year’s main concerts will take place in Kirjurinluoto from 15 to 17 July 2027. Early bird tickets for the three-day main concert programme are available through Ticketmaster channels until the end of July at a special Early Jazz Bird price.
